About TRON (TRX)
TRON is a blockchain operating system, created initially to provide ownership rights to makers of digital content. The primary objective was to help content creators and encourage them by offering rewards.
The TRON software supports smart contracts, multiple blockchain systems, and decentralised applications, or dApps. The platform uses a transaction model called UTXO. Such transactions take place in a public ledger, where users can track the transactional history.
TRX tokens are the native coin of TRON. These were initially ERC-20 tokens deployed on Ethereum. However, it was subsequently moved to TRON's own network.
Founders of TRON
In 2017, Justin Sun founded TRON and is the CEO of the network.
Use Cases of TRON
There are multiple dApps built on the TRON blockchain which requires the usage of TRX tokens. Users can swap TRX tokens for TRC10 tokens. These TRC10 tokens are used by various dApps on the TRON network, such as BitTorrent, 888Tron, etc.
