Binance Coin, also known as BNB, is a coin created and issued by Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange. Created as an ERC-20 token in July 2017, BNB became the native coin for Binance. BNB is used for paying transaction fees while trading on Binance.
Binance is considered as the largest cryptocurrency exchange. The Binance network consists of Binance Chain, Binance Smart Chain, Trust Wallet, Binance Academy and research projects.
Having started with an Initial Coin Offering (ICO), Binance has witnessed growth in terms of traded volume and market share. The exchange is divided into the Futures market, Spot market, and Binance DEX.

The Binance exchange was founded in 2017 by Changpend Zhao and He Yi.
